Yes, myIGN, we are doing this thing again. The previous Top 100 anime list was so successful that close minded trolls are still moaning about their favorite anime being taken off the list. Of course, a two year old blog with the full participation of some awesome myIGNers was such a great treat and a nice symbol of the wonderful anime community in this place. So let’s do it again. This time, let’s be as biased as we can possibly can.
Defining Anime Moments of Your Life
This is a broad topic. I recently handled a “greatest anime moment” list and it ended in a burning pile of disgrace. Let’s do something more personal and something more close to this community. Moments that you will never forget, moments that you’ll always enjoy watching, moments that always gets you excited, moments that gives you a lot of nostalgia, moments that makes you cry whenever you see it, moments that you’ll always love, moments that’ll always make you laugh or angry. For such a broad topic, I’m sure there is something YOU can contribute.
Ever cheered for the death of a villain? Ever laughed hard at a certain skit of a comedy anime? Ever cried when the little sister of that main character died from starvation (I know this one is bound to appear here)? Ever loved seeing that particularly big raccoon/cat hybrid as he sits on top of a tree branch or sitting beside a girl while holding a leaf while it’s raining? Ever enjoyed Euphemia killing a stadium full of people after Lelouch accidentally ordered her with his Geass? There are a lot of moments that can apply to this list. Be as fudging crazy as you want to be.
Let’s make this a big collaborative one.
I’m honestly not expecting much people to participate since even the last one had a turnout of eleven or so. Some people who are avid anime fans didn’t even wanted to cooperate. It’s because of me. I have an assturd personality on the internet and a baby drunk assturd on real life.
Everyone is still welcome to participate though.
What do you have to do? Well, much like the first Top 100, I simply want a moment from you. It can be anything and I’ll be sure it appears on the list. Here are some rules though:
1. Mention a moment AND EXPLAIN IN THREE OR MORE SENTENCES WHY THE MOMENT APPEALED TO YOU.
I PUT QUOTATION MARKS ON EVERYTHING YOU SAY BECAUSE HAVING YOUR QUOTE IS PROOF THAT YOU CONTRIBUTED IN THE LIST. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE DEEP OR PROFOUND. JUST TELL US WHY.
I LOVE THIS MOMENT BECAUSE ____________________________. IT’S EASY.
2. There is a limit. TRY TO INCLUDE AT LEAST TWO MOMENTS AND NO MORE THAN TWENTY.
3. KEEP IT MAINSTREAM
YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO ADD MOMENTS FROM UNDERGROUND ANIME BUT FOR THE SAKE OF CONSISTENCY LET’S MENTION ANIME READER’S ARE AWARE OF. I personally want to write moments from the anime like Un-Go or Meeramera but let’s not get weird.
4. IF YOU CAN, PUT IT IN A BLOG.
Let’s make this fun at put our list in our own blogs so I can link it to the actual list. It’s free whoring and a great way to track active anime lovers on myIGN. I also did this back in the previous list and it was a huge success.
5. IF YOU’RE A LAZY ASSTURD THEN IN THE COMMENTS, YOU CAN WRITE YOUR MOMENTS. TELL US WHY YOU WANT THAT MOMENT IN THE LIST.
Pretty easy to follow, right? I’m sure it is.
I want to make this more interesting though. I’M ADDING A PANEL OF CRITICS. I WON’T BE THE ONLY ONE WRITING WALL OF TEXTS FOR EACH MOMENT. IT’LL BE INTERACTIVE AND A BUNCH OF PEOPLE FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY WILL SHOE IN THEIR TWO CENTS AS WELL.

THERE WON’T BE ANYTHING HARD TO DO ON YOUR PART. JUST GIVE US AN OPINION OF THE MOMENTS IN THE LIST YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH. YOU CAN BE AS SARCASTIC, STUPID, TROLL AS YOU WANT TO BE. IT’S NOTHING OVERLY SERIOUS.

AT EXACTLY THE SECOND WEEK OF JANUARY, THE TOP 100 MYIGN ANIME DEFINING MOMENT OF OUR LIFE WILL COME OUT.
